CAÏROS

  Caïros, C-harlotte + k-aïros, was born from the artist's first name and the Greek concept kaïros, which refers to the opportune moment. Inspired by this idea, the artist creates intuitive shapes and patterns coming to her in the moment.

   After a master's degree in architecture in Paris, honing her eye for proportions, archetypes, and her relationship to a given territory, Caïros devotes herself to her artistic practice.

  Fascinated by the mysteries of life, celestial and terrestrial landscapes, she draws her creativity from her internal feelings and visions. Her intuitions come up in relation to a specific moment, an emotion, surrounding landscapes, or even a personal memory or someone else's story.

   Considering the artistic process as a quest, she perceives the act of creation as an alchemical process allowing her to transmute her intuitions and to share the remnants of this transformation.

   Her artworks result in lyrical and geometric abstractions using oil paint and layering techniques such as acrylic and pastel. 

Caïros is based in France but likes to wander the world and fill herself up with new ideas and inspirations connecting to a specific land and culture.
